Arabic Language Day
On December 18th of each year, worldwide celebrations of the International Day of the Arabic Language take place.

On this occasion, organizations and universities that deal with the Arabic language hold symposiums and festive events in which they recall the importance of the Arabic language and its place in the past and present.
The Arabic language is considered to be one of the oldest and most vocabulary languages. Its history spans more than 18 centuries and its words total more than twelve million words.
Although the number of languages in the world has reached almost 7,000, Arabic is the most widely spoken language in the world.

Red Hand Day
The campaign and Red Hand Day on February 12, the international day to commemorate the fate of child soldiers, have been around for more than 15 years. Hundreds of thousands of red handprints have already been collected in over 50 countries and given to politicians and those responsible, including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the German Foreign Minister and the Federal President. But despite many important successes, there are still 250,000 child soldiers worldwide.

Eid Adha
I wish all people of Muslim faith in Germany and worldwide a good and blessed Islamic Festival of Sacrifice. Eid Adha Mubarak. This is a time when Muslims and non-Muslims can talk to each other in a special way and show mutual respect – in Germany and around the world. I sincerely wish the people in the Islamic states a peaceful time. This applies in particular to the people in the countries of the Near and Middle East, which are plagued by war and destruction. Eid Al adha Mubarak
